On Sunday September 25th the Under 11 Footballers closed the door on their football year 2022. An end of season training session was held in Lisnamult with a selections of the Roscommon Gaels Minor Footballers who took the lads for the session and finished it off with a short game. While all the activities were happening on the pitch, parents gathered and watched on in the autumnal chill sipping hot cups of tea and coffee and sweet treats. Following the session, all the boys were treated to Pizza, compliments of REA Carthy. Head Coach Mick Byrne spoke to the group and complimented the lads on a very successful season. He noted how they had represented their club honorably on recent trips taken to Croke Park and the Connacht Centre of Excellence, Bekan and was proud to have been their coach for the season. Mick thanked his assistant coaches, Seamie O'Neill, Gerry McNulty, Robert Hughes, Ronan Clogher, Frankie Dolan, Gary Stevens, Enda Daly and Dion Hegarty along with Minor Footballers Rory Carthy, Zawyal Khan, Ciaran O'Reilly, Cian Regan, Conor Grogan and Lachlann Mulry for coming out on the evening to spend time with the lads and wished their team the very best of luck in their County Final the following weekend against. Seamus Carthy, Chairperson of the Minor Football Board then said a few words at the end of the session, complimenting all the Under 11's on their achievements over the season and thanked Mick and his team of coaches for the amount of work and committment given to the group all year.
