TThis week the Under 12 Camogie group closed the door on Season 2022, and they did it in great style celebrating success in the Club's Lounge area at the Hyde Centre. he two teams, Hawks and Eagles, had many battles over the year with local teams, some coming out as winners and other not. But the two groups worked tirelessly all through the season improving their skills and techniques taking them to finals in their respective grades. With a great turnout from supporters and parents to watch on, County Players Eimear O'Farrell and Eva Mulry presented both teams with their medals under a lovely designed banner designed for the evening. The Roscommon Gaels Hawks received medals for the D Final and the Roscommon Gaels Eagles received medals for E Final. A wonderful evening was had in the Hyde bar/function room. A huge thanks to lead coach Joan Noone and her coaching team Brenda Hegarty, Deirdre McDermott, Trish Gately, Vanessa Gilleran, Aimee Costello, Alana Corcoran , Angela Fetherstone, Beata Godzic. Appreication was also expressed to Tom Killion who also helped at sessions giving guidance throughout the year. Thank you also to Camogie Chairperson Paula Connaughton for her guidance and support throughout the season. Best of Luck to all the girls who will be advancing in age group next season and we look forward to seeing all the girls back again next year. Enjoy the Break everyone. 💛💜💛💜💛💜

C.L.U.B. is an exciting and fun show about GAA Clubs across the island of Ireland and the craic that everyone has playing with them. Presented by Cáthach Bán Breathnach Gráinne Bleasdale, C.L.U.B. came to Roscommon to have some craic with some of our young players.
The Club would like to thank all the children who volunteered to take part in the recording of the episode from St. Coman's Wood Primary School and Gael Scoil de hIde. Two very long days were spent recording the episode with camera crews, production team and presenters. Thanks also to our 3 brilliant coaches, Seamie, Nicola and Kevin for being great sports and taking part in the fun activities. Also thanks to Peter Gillooly and to Aisling McNeill and Decie Hoare for volunteering to help out with coaching drills with the children in LIsnamult. Hollywood next for our little stars. On a hectic weekend of football last weekend, the Under 9 Footballers played each other in a very competitive match for the annual Bernie Hoare Cup. There was a great crowd of supporters present who were treated to some super games with lots of quality football on display.
We would like to thank Jason and Ben Hoare who presented the Bernie Hoare Cup to the player of the year Marcus Budzyn. We would also like to thank the parents for all the treats provided Saturday evening and for their cooperation throughout the year. A special thanks to a tight knit group of coaches who were all needed and much appreciated. Enjoy the break now for the rest of the year and looking forward to seeing everyone back again after Christmas. |
