Roscommon Gaels Senior Footballer James McDermott has announced his retirement. James who made his Senior Footballing debut playing midfield with the club in 2005. James was an inspirational player who gave 100% in a Gaels Jersey and his presence has guided many of our underage players through to Senior Football. He represented the club with the County Roscommon Senior Footballers, debuting in 2016 against New York. He was inspirational with Nemo Rangers winning a Munster club championship when his GP duties brought him to Cork. As always his loyalty brought him back to his home club where last year he led charge to the county semi final. The Club wishes James and his family the very best for the future. Enjoy the downtime. We look forward to hopefully seeing him bring his experience into coaching the next Gaels prodigy in the future.
