Pieta House provides free therapy to those engaging in self-harm , with suicidal ideation, or people bereaved by suicide. This group rely on the generosity of the public whose donations and fundraising make up over 80% of their income. Their big fundraiser "Darkness into Light" walk cannot take place on May 9th due to Covid 19. However, the adult players and mentors from the Junior and Senior Camogie, Football and Hurling teams in Roscommon Gaels are doing the 5km walk / run this week to raise funds for this most important mental health service.
The club has set up a Go Fund Me Page and would welcome people to donate to this cause: https://gf.me/u/xzj6t2.
For both of the above causes, if you partake in either, make sure to wear the CLUBS COLOURS AND FORWARD YOUR PICTURES via Facebook
As One Part of the Fundraiser for Pieta House, The Senior Mens Team alongside some of the Senior Hurlers are going to run their 5km (individually) on Saturday (May 9th) from 5.30 a.m. to 5.30p.m. as the Darkness into Light run/walk would have been run on this date.
