USGAA / Canadian Sanctions:
A player must reach out to a Club in Noth America, the Club then shall initiate a sanction for the player, you might note to avail of a sanction the player must be a student or eligible to obtain a J1 Visa. (does not apply to NY ) A player who has been included on an Inter-County Championship list submitted to the referee, whom is eligible for a J1 visa - Such a player may only have his J1 Sanction approved once his team has been eliminated from the Inter-County Championship including All-Ireland Qualifier games & (Tailteann Cup).
NY Sanctions: All of the above, however you do not have to qualify for a J1 visa or be a student, any level can avail of a sanction to New York subject to approval.
***********************INSURANCE********************** As per normal Insurance is essential for any sanction player no matter of the current insurance they hold. The info is clearly stated on the GAA.ie website (below) and a list of accepted insurance providers.
