As well as providing a service for 12-25 year olds to receive support in relation to mental health concerns, Jigsaw also provide support and information to young people, adults, communities and clubs who would like to increase their knowledge of and ability to support young people’s mental health. In response to an increasing number of sports coaches approaching us with concerns around the mental health of the young people they work with, Jigsaw has developed a talk called ‘One Good Coach’. Following the talk participants will:- · Have a greater understanding of Mental Health · Have a greater understanding of the importance of their role as a ‘One Good Adult’. · Have a greater awareness of how to promote and support young people’s mental health in their role as a coach. · Learn about their local Jigsaw and how young people can access the service.
