COACHING NEWS (WK 44 2018)
A. REMINDER - Hurling Foundation Refreshed Course Workshop
Roscommon Coaching and Games Development will hold a hurling foundation refresher course workshop for volunteer coaches on the first three modules on Tuesday night November 13th in St Coman's Wood NS, Roscommon Town from 7pm to 9pm.
Topics covered include:
 Introduction/how to coach skills
 Skill Development
 Games Development
The workshop will be presented by Martin Fogarty and Damien Coleman and open to all club hurling coaches.

B. Update on our Club Coaching Mentoring Programme
We have arranged for a successful/progressive Dublin based Dual Club to speak with our Club Coaches on a number topics under the broad heading of “Coaching Structures”. Agenda is being finalised and will be confirmed
next week. Presentation will be held on Saturday 17 Nov. 5pm-8pm. Venue : Hyde Centre. All our Coaches are asked to make every effort to attend. This presentation will meet the “Coach the Coaches” objective set at the Club Coaching Mentoring meeting.

C. Club Coaches Football Workshop
Roscommon Coaching and Games Development will hold a club coaches workshop on Friday night November 23rd with Steven Poacher Carlow's senior football team trainer and PE teacher by profession. Venue TBC .
 Indoor session : "Key Performance Indicators in Gaelic Football"
 Outdoor Session Two themes (40 mins & 40mins) : "Developing Offensive Transition play" + "Building a Strong Defensive Platform"

D. National Coaching & Games Development Conference
The GAA Games Development Conference will take place on Friday, January 11th and Saturday, January 12th in Croke Park. The Conference programme is currently being finalised, with information available from https://learning.gaa.ie/conference2019 and @gaalearning

U16 Football:
Our U16 Ladies play Shannon Gaels in the Div 2 Semi Final this Saturday 3rd of November at 6.30pm in Lisnamult. All support is greatly appreciated.

It is proposed to have the Minor AGM on Monday 19th of November at 8.30pm in the Hyde centre.

WIN A HOUSE IN DUBLIN
Last Monday’s County Board meeting raised concerns about supporters who wish to buy ‘Win a house in Dublin’ draw tickets but do not wish to do so online. The delegates requested that the Club Rossie Team make hard copy tickets available for these supporters.
The Club Rossie Team is only too happy to facilitate this request and has decided to make tickets available at locations around the county so that everyone will have the opportunity to be in the draw.

HERBAL LIFE
To all Club Members and Families,
A Nutrition Information and sampling evening will be held in The Hyde Center on Wednesday 7th November at 7pm. We will explain the benefits of getting good Nutrition on a daily basis. We will also have testimonials from various people. Looking forward to an enjoyable evening with a good atmosphere, some great stories and a bit of craic!
