Marie was an outstanding player, she was the first Chair of the Roscommon Ladies Gaelic Football County Board while still active on the field when it took shape in 1974 and was a founder member and first Vice President of the Ladies Gaelic Football Association. Her drive and passion for the sport has continued ever since and had been put to good use on several national and county board committees. Marie was also instrumental in the establishment of the Roscommon Gaels Ladies Gaelic Football Club in 2000. Well done Marie we are all proud and thankful for all you have done.
